Rangers

In Brief

Jack doubtful. Murphy, Jones and Kent sidelined. Rangers bounce back from Celtic defeat unconvincingly.

Looking Back

Rangers showed yet more defensive vulnerabilities as they managed to see off Livingston 3-1 at Ibrox on Saturday.

Yet again, Rangers are struggling to deal with direct crosses into their penalty area. Fortunately, they showed more character than they did for most of last season.

The comeback ability of Rangers this season has been a lot more impressive compared to last term. They've come from behind on two occasions this season to win both matches.

Looking Ahead

Ryan Kent signed for £7million and then found himself injured in his debut at the weekend. He's definitely sidelined for the visit of Feyenoord.

Ryan Jack is a huge doubt after coming back from international duty injured. This could be a huge blow for their European hopes in particular.

Jamie Murphy is still injured as is Jordan Jones.

Points of Interest

Rangers have never beaten Feyenoord. Only meeting came back in 2002 - losing 3-2 in Holland and drawing 1-1 at Ibrox.

Feyenoord

In Brief

Made their life complicated in 3-2 home win over ADO Den Haag. Playing away at Rangers. Van Beek out. Berghuis, Toornstra and Jorgensen with the group.

Looking Back

Dominated ADO Den Haag for at least an hour but then fell asleep and let them close to a full come-back. Should have killed match off in first half.

Enjoyed two penalty kicks.

Karsdorp, Fer and Narsingh all scored first Eredivisie goals in the campaign. Sinisterra served his first assist.

15 attempts at goal vs 7 and 63% of ball possession.

Looking Ahead

Feyenoord obtained their first Eredivisie success in home soil. Will next be playing away at Rangers.

Van Beek will be out. Berghuis has shaken off a slight knee injury.

Toornstra and Jorgensen were given some match practice with the junior team and will travel with the squad.

As Jorgensen is still not fit enough to start, Narsingh will be given the centre-forward role once again.

Points of Interest

Feyenoord travelled to Rangers once, in the UEFA Cup in February 2002, and drew 1-1.
