Last season was an interesting one for Antalya as they finished in the 7th place despite being the 2nd most conceding team of the league. Therefore, their narrow victories took a very important role. So far, interestingly enough, they have not added any fresh face to the defence line. It seems that Diego and Celustka (or Chico) will save the center situation for defensive wingers Sangare, Cissokho and back, but they do not have any decent backup except youngters from the reserve team. It is the same with keepers Ferhat and Boffin. Of course, their financial situation is the biggest cause for that, but they may have to struggle in the long term. The midfield was looking the best part of the team, but there are also some problems there. Because of undisciplined behaviours, vice captain Zeki Yildirim and Yekta Kurtulus were internally banned during the summer camp. The decision of coach Bulent Korkmaz and the club president was protested by the fans. If they do not play this season, they will lack quality in the midfield as there are only Chico, Charles and Hakan Ozmert together with Ufuk Akyol who was signed in from the 1st division side Fatih Karagumruk. In the offence zone, to bring Chahechouhe is a good move, but his presence is not enough as there are only Fredy, Amilton and Harun as offensive wingers. Speaking about the offence, there is only Doukara as option up front. The board have to add at least one more attacker. Last season, they surprised most of the pundits. If they bring a few more players, they can do it again.
