Dordrecht were by far the worst side in the league last year, going on a pretty dreadful run from start to finish, as they conceded nearly 100 goals and won just eight games out of 38. They went through three managers but none of them really found a way to make what was a youthful and limited squad a tad more competitive. Now Michele Santoni takes over as a new manager of the Sheep Heads and he will be motivated to show that he can inspire the team to a more respectable finish near mid-table. Once again, the squad looks pretty shallow but a few more experienced signings in Tim Holscher and Toine van Huizen are expected to bring a bit of knowhow and nous to this young squad and make the players more confident in themselves. Jari Schuurman and new signing Stijn Meijer are the ones that will hope to make a breakthrough in the campaign ahead while midfielder Pascu is also a good additions that may prove a useful one at this level. But Dordrecht still look like one of the weakest sides in the league and Santoni faces a really onerous task in trying to mould them into a functional outfit that can hold their own against stronger teams, especially after all the trauma accumulated from last season.
