Hull City return to the Premier League after an absence of just two seasons. The Tigers left it until the final day of the season to clinch the second automatic promotion spot ahead of Watford. Manager Steve Bruce has received a lot of credit for getting this squad promoted. Bruce has plenty of experience in the top flight and that "know how" could prove crucial over the course of the season. The former Sunderland boss has been busy in the transfer market over the summer. Most notable are the additions of Maynor Figueroa and Curties Davies. Figueroa is a solid defender and should fit nicely in Bruce's preferred defensive version of the 1-3-5-2 formation. Davies has promised much in the past but has perhaps as yet not developed to the extent that was expected. Not a single player managed double figures for Hull last season so there is a little bit of added pressure on new strikers Danny Graham and George Boyd. Neither could be considered prolific based on their returns last season. As things stand it looks like Hull are going to struggle to score enough goals.
