Hacken had another average season in 2019 – finished sixth, but 8 points behind the nearest team above them. The departure of emblematic goalscorer Jeremejeff halfway through the campaign proved seriously disruptive and resulted in poor form during the final 10-12 rounds. The only notable player to leave the squad in the off season was the team’s all-time goalscorer Pauilinho. He was very well replaced, though, with the proved goal provider in his native Norway Alexander Soderlund and the versatile during his years in Belarus Jasse Tuominen signed in. The duo are expected to improve seriously the team’s scoring record. With at least 10 of the 11 likely regulars the same as last season Hacken shouldn’t have problems hitting the ground running straight away and at least on paper their main core of 12-15 players looks really solid and able to compete with any team in Allsvenskan. For countless years Hacken have had one of the best home records in the league and achieving as many wins as possible at home will be crucial if the team wants to be in the mix for medals this season. Main weakness for years had been the direct derbies against city-rivals and the other top sides. The number of points gained from those matches likely to determine Hacken’s fate.

Target

The goal is to close the gap to the top 5, with Hacken one of the dark horses in terms of the race for top 3 finish if all their important players stay healthy.
