Mjallby return to the Allsvenskan after five years away, and they were the surprise package of the Superettan last season. But Marcus Lantz's team were outstanding from start to finish and were head an shoulders above other more fancied sides like Halmstads and Jonkopings Sodra. They will have a very difficult task of staying up this season though. Last time they were in the Allsvenskan they managed to string together five seasons in the top flight. It would take something special for them to last even one season this time around. Mjallby's only hope will be to hit the ground running and hope that their winning spirit of last season can be brought into this one. If they can get results from the teams around them, who will be seen as relegation candidates, and if they have the capacity to surprise anyone who will underestimate them they might spring a few surprises. But realistically they will need to be on their game for most of the games if not all to stand any chance of survival.

Target

Survival against the drop will be the sole aim, and it will be a tough ask against Allsvenskan clubs with far more experience of top flight football. Prediction: 15th
