Finnn Harps finished the previous season nine points above the relegation zone, but were the lowest-placed Premier League side from last season that will still be playing in the top flight this time around. They were the league's lowest scorers and relied on hard work rather than talent, but still managed to do just enough to stay up in their season of return to the top flight. A yo-yo club for years now, they are working with very limited financial resources and, despite the increased top division demands, have had a summer transfer window that consisted mainly of stabs in the dark. Manager Ollie Horgan has delivered a brutally honest pre-season interview, stating that he is well aware that his side are being widely tipped to go down, but adding that the Premier League will be extremely tough this year and that clubs much bigger than Finn Harps will be fearing for their survival. Given their current situation, Finn Harps would definitely need to perform far better than they did last time around in order to stay up, but it is very difficult to see where this improvement will come from, as they have done hardly anything to address the firepower problem that they have. Having said that, there seems to be an air of realism surrounding the club and it would not be much of a surprise if they end up relegated and Horgan keeps his job despite that.

Target

In a division as unpredictable as this one, one cannot be too certain about anything, but they definitely seem to be the standout favourites to go down going into the new season.
