Tranmere had a decent season last year as they comfortably avoided the drop, although a poor run in the final games saw a mid-table finish slip from their grasp. Parry has once again been given the task of avoiding relegation and will have to do so without two of the club’s brightest stars from last season. Left-back Aaron Creswell has joined Ipswich, while hotly-tipped forward Dale Jennings has signed for Bayern, meaning Parry might have a small transfer kitty this term. He will again have one of the smaller squads in the league and probably the youngest once again, but the ex-physio has a growing reputation within the game and has fostered a strong spirit within his camp. However, it is sure to be a very tough division once again and it is hard to see Rovers doing any better than mid-table this season, although even that would be another fine achievement. Parry’s squad will have a very familiar look about it as two of his signings so far were on loan at the club in the latter part of last season.

Target

Tranmere will be looking to again improve and that will mean their aim is a comfortable season. Parry again has to rely on a youthful squad that is small in number and will do well to repeat last season’s accomplishments.
