The MLS expands by inducting two new teams with Inter Miami being the glamour addition this season with the club backed by a group that is led by former England and Manchester United star David Beckham. The club have been busy building up a solid base both on and off the pitch, announcing two time CONCACAF Champions League winner Diego Alonso as their head coach while also concentrating on building a roster that is filled with a number of established MLS players. The key players though come from outside with Rodolfo Pizarro the biggest name arriving from Mexican club Monterrey and will be responsible for the creative aspect of the Miami offense. In Matias Pellegrini and Julian Carranza, Miami have also brought in players with potential though the latter will not be available for the first few weeks due to injury. Some of the recognizable names for MLS followers include Juan Agudelo, Wil Trapp, Ben Sweat and Luis Robles, all of whom are expected to be in and around the starting lineup. Miami have managed to put together a decent roster and, provided the players settle down and gel together quickly, they should emerge as one of the challengers for a place in the playoffs.

Target

Will be looking to emulate the successes of Los Angeles FC and Atlanta United but finishing inside the top seven of an increasingly competitive Eastern Conference should be the more immediate aim this season.
