LA Galaxy enjoyed a decent campaign in Guillermo Barros Schelotto's first season in charge of the club, making it to the playoffs after a two-year absence and registering the most number of wins since their MLS Cup win back in 2014. There have been a large number of changes to the roster for LA Galaxy in the off-season following the departures of a number of players. Ibrahimovic is the biggest name leaving the club, with the attacker since signing for AC Milan, while Romain Alessandrini, Diego Polenta and Favio Alvarez are other players who were first choice last season. Pontius has retired while Dave Romney has been traded to Nashville, leaving Schelotto with a major rebuilding job. LA have looked to address the departures by bagging arguably the biggest signing in the MLS this year after completing a move for Javier Hernandez. Aleksandar Katai and Sacha Kljestan have also arrived on free transfers while Pavon's loan move has been extended, leaving LA with a strong offense on paper. However it is at the back where LA struggled last season and Romney, Polenta and Skjelvik have left them further weakened with no major arrivals in the off-season which means the attack will once again have to carry the heavy load this season.

Target

Will be looking to recover back their glory days but, while they should make it to the playoffs without much problem, they are still some way short of challenging for silverware
