Leeds are one of England's biggest and most traditional of clubs but they again find themselves in the second tier as they look for the formula to get them back to the top flight. Their recent managers have all been short term with Paul Heckingbottom paying for a tame few months at the end of last term with his job. The Whites though have performed a significant coup with the arrival of former Argentina manager Marcelo Bielsa. The expectations have already reason with such a name in charge but at the moment there is little to suggest anything will change. Early on Leeds had brought in just two players, both loan players from Chelsea in the shape of Jamal Blackman and Lewis Baker. Blackman, a goalkeeper, is well versed at this level having played for Sheffield United last term. In recent days things have hotted up with more new signings being made. Patrick Bamford is the most notable addition but things appears to have been a bit rushed late in the window. Leeds were keen to sign Derby's Matej Vydra, but that now seems unlikely. You would suggest they would need far more than what they have so far if they are to challenge at the top. They will hope to do well on home soil with Elland Road capable of intimidating atmospheres for visiting teams. But if things go wrong that could work against Leeds too.

Target

Fans and owners will demand promotion but that seems somewhat unrealistic as things stand.
