West Brom will be feeling gutted they got relegated last season given how well Darren Moore did as caretaker boss. He so nearly kept them up with a miraculous run of results late on. Ultimately it was too little too late but Albion are in great shape for the new campaign having appointed Moore as permanent boss after other candidates were discarded. They have lost goalkeeper Ben Foster, defender Jonny Evans and midfielder James McClean with defender Craig Dawson asking to leave too. But they have signed Sam Johnstone from Manchester United, a perfect replacement for Foster, while defender Kyle Bartley joins from Swansea. Harvey Barnes is an impressive loan capture from Leicester while further signings are in the pipeline too. It has been a good pre-season so far for Moore in terms of matches played. They still have undoubted class in the players they have such as Matty Phillips, James Morrison, Jake Livermore and Salomon Rondon. There is a real feeling of expectancy that despite relegation last season that West Brom can put that beyond them and return to the Premier League at the first time of asking. They certainly have the players and by and large are used to club legend Moore's way of thinking.

Target

Albion will aim for the top and will expect nothing less than promotion.
