Ahead of the last season’s kick-off, everybody was wondering how Bursa will perform after losing many regulars and building a new team. Coach Ertugrul Saglam knew that he had a tough task. As expected, the Crocodiles did not make a good start and suffered four defeats in the early five fixtures. In the next few fixtures, they seemed to improve their performance but the board had to part the company with him in the early days of December 2015. After that, coach Hamza Hamzaoglu arrived and he managed to make the team stay far from the danger zone. Ahead of this season, the board decided to keep on working with him. During the summer transfer market, the coach has brought his former players in. After they sold Serdar Aziz to Galatasaray, they got Bilal, Furkan and Sercan following the swap deal. Besides them, Ismail Konuk and Merter Yuce came together with him again. Along with Ismail, Serdar Kurtulus and Yaya Sane will help the coach in order to improve the last season’s bad defensive stats. Young Sinan Bakis and Del Valle are also familiar faces following their performances from the last season. Are the duo good enough to give support to the offence line? It is really a question mark. On the net, there are Harun and Mert once again. Following their last season performances, the fans feel worried. Considering Dzsudzsak’s departure following his good Euro 2016 performance, there are only Batalla and Necid who could make the fans excited. However, the latter could also leave as there are some good offers. At this point, the fans wonder who will lead this season. According to most of their comments, they are not satisfied with the quality of the new arrivals. At this point, the early performance of the team is crucial for the coach. If the team cannot record promising results, no doubt that there will be a great pressure on him. If Necid leaves, they could face a big scoring problem this season. It would also be great to add a winger following Stoch and Dzsudzsak’s departures.
