Finished 10th last season, in what was a successful and at some times very impressive first year at top flight for Red Bull Bragantino. Reached quarter-finals for Paulista State championship, having been knocked-out by Paulistão giants Palmeiras. Doing well in Sul-Americana, so far. The squad remains almost the same as last season. No one really important went away; Pedrinho and Gabriel Novaes will provide depth and options to attack; Jadsom is a good add for midfield and there was shortage of players with his characteristics. The biggest improvement was the signing on loan from the highly promising centre-half Natan, from Flamengo. The biggest move on the market was NOT selling Claudinho, who was highly sought by multiple clubs after a truly impressive performance last season. Maurício Barbieri did a great job last season with Bragantino and is expected to keep his good compromise between beautiful attacking football with competitive approaches in every game. Alongside Claudinho, winger Artur is also a top-class player that was slightly under his potential value last season and will want to restore his reputation as a great dribbler and game-decisive winger.

Target

Establishing themselves as a Série A force, perhaps forcing their way into a top-8 position this time.
