For a long time, Trabzon have been disappointing their fans. Last season represented another disappointment as they have been out of the European Cup spots and have seen an early exit from the Turkish Cup. Most of the auhorities believe that it is the expected result of bad managements. Because of that, they have big amount of debts. That is why the current board were unable to add what coach Unal Karaman wanted to see. Besides that, they have already started to sell some good players like Okay Yokuslu in order to ease their debts. It is no doubt that it will be a tough season for the coach, because his current squad have lots of problems. The biggest one is at the backline. After Ugur Demirok, Jan Durica and Tomas Hubocan all left the team, they could not fill their holes yet. In the friendly fixtures, the coach used some young players or defensive wingers at center back. Even if they come, their adaptation period will take a long time. So it seems like they will face defensive problems in the early fixtures. It is known that there are some offers for talented players Yusuf Yazici and Abdulkadir Omur. Along with Burak Yilmaz, they were important figures of their offensive power. If the young duo are sold, there are only Olcay Sahan and Jose Sosa left. Considering that they have not met the expectations during the last season, they may have to struggle offensively. Their first summer signing is Vahid Amiri from Persepolis. It will be his first experience outside Iran. So he is totally a question mark. They also need to add one more attacker at least after Dame N’Doye left the team. Last season, Burak Yilmaz had to miss some fixtures because of injury. Besides that, Rodallega did not offer a good performance during the past campaign. So it is not clear whether they will cope with the offensive responsibility or not.
