Football Season Review

№19: Houston Dynamo

Another disappointing season for Houston Dynamo as they didn't achieve for the fifth time during the last 6 season to qualify to the playoffs stage. After a busy offseason in which 12 players left Houston while 8 joined the club the team tried to keep the boost they had into the early matches of the season in which they had won 7 out of their first 8 matches. But the results weren't mirroring the actual performance of the team and not only that. The team played a lot of home games early in the season so the league position was "fake". The inability of Dynamo to get positive results on the road was soon verified. Dynamo couldn't use their attacking weapons efficiently and they scored only one goal this season in counter attack, despite having players like Ellis and Manotas. New head coach Tab Ramos will have a lot of work to do with the team. Recent addition, midfielder Quintero will add value to the team but the target should be at first to qualify to the MLS playoffs and not looking more than that at the time.
