All is certainly not right with QPR at the moment. Another difficult season followed last term when Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink was dismissed part of the way through, and Ian Holloway came in. Holloway has not been a resounding success so far: results have been somewhat inconsistent, but he did enough to ensure Rangers moved away from the relegation battle. At the same time, he has reduced the squad and moved out dead wood and high earning players. This summer has been somewhat baffling though. Holloway has made just one signing in Josh Scowen on a free transfer, and he is just the type of midfielder Holloway likes, a hard worker. Michael Doughty, Ben Gladwin and Karl Henry have all left, but despite this trio departing, Holloway still has an abundance of options in midfield and will hope this strength can be used as an advantage this term. They remain without real quality up-front though in terms of goals. They have not replaced Charlie Austin, who left a considerable time ago, and will hope Conor Washington, Matt Smith, Idrissa Sylla or Jamie Mackie can step up to this plate. With all this in mind, it is difficult to get too excited by QPR this season. They are unlikely to be involved in any kind of promotion bid but this squad should be too strong to be in the relegation picture either. It is another season of stability and one where they will hope to provide optimism for the next campaign.

Target

A good solid campaign where they can provide belief that a Premier League return is possible in future years.
