QPR again offered very little to get excited about last term and at the moment there appears to be little for fans to get excited about again. Rangers lost key man Ebere Eze, sold to Crystal Palace over the summer, and he will be a huge miss. Mark Warburton has not made a significant number of signings but appears to have made two very good ones in the shape of Oxford defender Rob Dickie and Scotland international striker Lyndon Dykes. QPR struggled to fill a subs' bench last term such was the shortage of players and there does not appear to be anywhere near the depth of other squads either. Warburton appears reluctant to trust his academy players and take risks on them either. QPR have struggled for cash over the last few years but have got good money for Eze which Warburton will hope is reinvested into his playing budget. QPR have not really spent money on players in a number of years. It is difficult to know what to make of QPR's ambitions this season. They appear to be well short at this stage but expectations will be high from their long-suffering fans.

Target

Fans will expect some excitement in the form of a play-off bid. But it is likely to be a season of stability.
