In the past season Ternana reached their goal of avoiding relegation ending the league in 12th position. The rossoverdi had a dreadful season beginning collecting only one point in the first five games...at this point the club decided to fire Mimmo Toscano and entrust the bench to former Latina Roberto Breda...it was definitively the right move. After a period of adjustment to the new tactics of the coach, the Umbrians began climbing up the table till reaching a quiet positioning. It was definitively a great achievement for a team who made few moves on the market and could rely on a short list of players. As for the last transfer market, the trend is the same as the previous season, maybe worst, considering that in addition to not having made purchases of a certain level, they also sold some of the best players, above all striker Ceravolo (Ternana top scorer in the last seasons), as well as centre-back Gonzalez and experienced left back Vitale. Meanwhile the season of the Umbrians began in the worst way, not because of the elimination in the third round of Coppa Italia at the hand of Cesena (in the previous round the rossoverdi had beaten Pordenone), as for the problems on the bench...in June Christian Panucci was appointed new coach, but he resigned at the beginning of August after some arguments with the club...at this point the bench was entrusted to the Primavera coach Siviglia and only few days ago was replaced by Benny Carbone. The Calabrian coach decided to switch from Breda's 4-2-3-1 to a more cautious 3-5-2.

Target

It will be a very hard season for Ternana unless some important purchases in the last days of the market. The quality of the roster seems very low and the coach completely inexperienced at this level...Ternana are one of the main candidates for relegation.
